Satan’s Sevenfold Attack on the Words of God
2026 King James Bible Seminar – Part 5
The Devil’s war against the Christian life did not begin in modern times. It did not begin with modern Bible translations. It began in the Garden of Eden when the serpent attacked the words of God.
His first question in Scripture reveals his strategy.
GENESIS 3:1
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Satan did not begin by denying God. He began by questioning what God said. Once the words are questioned, they can be altered. Once the words are altered, authority collapses. When authority collapses, everything built upon it begins to weaken.
In this message from the 2026 King James Bible Seminar, we expose how attacks on the words of Scripture affect the seven pillars of the Christian life.
When the Word is corrupted, these pillars begin to collapse.
The Seven Targets of Satan’s Attack
1. Salvation
When verses like Acts 8:37 are removed or footnoted, the clear order of salvation by faith before baptism is weakened.
ACTS 8:37
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
2. Service and Spiritual Strength
Removing references to fasting weakens the spiritual discipline that strengthens believers for spiritual warfare.
MATTHEW 17:21
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
3. Sanctification
Sanctification depends on truth.
JOHN 17:17
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
4. Submission to Christ
Weakening clear declarations of Christ’s deity weakens submission to His authority.
1 TIMOTHY 3:16
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
5. Sacrifice
Removing references to the blood of Christ diminishes the foundation of redemption.
COLOSSIANS 1:14
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
6. Separation
Scripture commands believers not only to avoid darkness but to confront it.
EPHESIANS 5:11
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
7. Study
The Christian life requires diligent study of the Word.
2 TIMOTHY 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Remove the Word and salvation becomes unclear.
Remove the Word and service weakens.
Remove the Word and sanctification fades.
Remove the Word and submission disappears.
Remove the Word and sacrifice is forgotten.
Remove the Word and separation collapses.
Remove the Word and study is replaced with vague effort.
But God promised something the Devil cannot undo.
PSALM 12:6–7
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
God preserved His words because those words reveal the only message that saves.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:3–4
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
The Devil hates the Word because the Word proclaims the blood of Christ.
Stand on the Book.
Preach it without apology.
Defend it without compromise.
⸻
If you have never trusted Christ
The answer is not religion.
The answer is not self-improvement.
The answer is the finished work of Jesus Christ.
ACTS 16:31
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Christ died for your sins.
Christ was buried.
Christ rose again.
Believe on Him and be saved.
