The following statement is being made public because the matters addressed have been public in nature. Joseph Gonzalez was previously certified through the King James Bible Institute and publicly associated with Mission 1611 before a worldwide audience. Because these doctrinal departures have occurred publicly, we believe it is necessary to address them publicly.

While some may object to the public nature of this statement, we believe it is our responsibility to protect those we minister to from doctrinal error and to make clear that we no longer endorse the teachings addressed herein. Silence can easily be mistaken for approval.

This statement is not issued out of personal animosity, but out of concern for sound doctrine, obedience to Scripture, and the protection of believers. Our sincere prayer remains for repentance, restoration, and a return to the truth.

Official Statement of Marking and Avoiding Joseph Gonzalez

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

Romans 16:17

After much prayer, consideration, and examination of public statements and teachings, the King James Bible Institute and Mission 1611 are formally marking and avoiding Joseph Gonzalez. Joseph Gonzalez was previously certified through the King James Bible Institute and publicly identified with the doctrines he was taught and certified to preach.

However, Joseph has now openly departed from those doctrines and has publicly embraced positions that are contrary to the faith once delivered unto the saints. Most notably, Joseph has publicly declared that those who preach faith in the blood of Jesus Christ for salvation are lost and are diminishing the gospel. Such statements directly attack one of the foundational truths of New Testament salvation. The Scriptures plainly teach that our redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ and that faith is to be placed in that precious blood sacrifice.

ROMANS 3:25

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

COLOSSIANS 1:14

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

The King James Bible Institute and Mission 1611 remain firmly committed to the biblical gospel as revealed in the Scriptures: the shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for our sins.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

In addition to departing from sound doctrine concerning the blood of Christ, Joseph has also abandoned the King James Bible position that he once professed. He is now attempting to correct the Authorized King James Bible with readings from the Spanish Bible. Such actions undermine the final authority of the preserved word of God in English and create confusion among believers. Because of these public doctrinal departures, and in obedience to the command of Scripture, we can no longer recognize Joseph Gonzalez as a representative of the doctrines taught by Mission 1611 or the King James Bible Institute. We therefore formally mark and avoid him until such time as genuine repentance and doctrinal restoration take place.

This action is not motivated by personal animosity. Rather, it is taken for the protection of believers, the preservation of sound doctrine, and the honor of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our sincere prayer is that Joseph will repent, return to faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, return to the authority of the King James Bible, and once again embrace the gospel he formerly professed to believe and preach. We ask all brethren to pray earnestly for Joseph’s restoration. At the same time, we encourage believers not to participate in or endorse these doctrinal errors through continued fellowship, promotion, or ministry partnership until repentance is evident.

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

2 THESSALONIANS 3:14-15

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
