Why I Am Not a Mid-Acts Hyper-Dispensationalist | Part 4

The Error Exposed by Scripture

In Part 4 of this sermon series, we deal directly with the methodological error at the heart of Mid-Acts hyper-dispensationalism.

This is not a personality issue.

This is not a chart issue.

This is an authority issue.

Mid-Acts hyper-dispensationalism claims to “rightly divide” the Bible, yet it divides apostles, vocabulary, and doctrine in ways Scripture never authorizes. When words are divided instead of truth, Scripture is forced to submit to a system rather than judge it.

In this message, we expose how Mid-Acts:

• Divides vocabulary instead of doctrine

• Isolates Paul from Christ and the other apostles

• Redefines right division

• Fragments salvation

• Undermines regeneration and assurance

• Elevates a system above Scripture

We prove from the King James Bible that right division is the handling of truth, not the segregation of words.

Key Scripture Examined

2 TIMOTHY 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 PETER 1:20

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:13

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

EPHESIANS 4:4–5

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

1 CORINTHIANS 1:13

13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

COLOSSIANS 2:8

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Bottom Line

There is:

• One problem. Sin and death.

• One solution. Life through Jesus Christ.

• One gospel. Grace through faith.

• One body. Alive by regeneration.

Any system that requires Christ to be reinterpreted, Peter to be limited, and Paul to be isolated is not rightly dividing. It is preserving a system.
